Concrete Base

150mm thick mesh reinforced concrete.

External Walls

100mm x 50mm treated timber shiplap boarding to outside (finish by others), and 12mm, 15mm or 18mm thick plywood sheeting to inside.  Stokbord recycled plastic liner sheet also available.

Build off concrete base with one brick course blue engineering brick.  Fix timber frame through the engineering brick into the concrete base.

Internal Walls

100mm x 50mm treated softwood framing at 600mm centres, with 12mm, 15mm or 18mm thick plywood sheeting to both sides. Stokbord recycled plastic liner sheet also available.

Roof

Treated softwood timber roof trusses, designed and manufactured by specialists at 23 degree pitch, with an overhang to the front elevation of between 0.9 metres and 1.5 metres, with 100mm wide x 18mm thick soffit boarding.

Roof coverings in bitumen based Onduline sheets, pantile effect metal roof sheet, fibre cement profiled roof sheets, or asphalt shingle tiles, all in a variety of colour finishes.

PVC-U black rainwater gutters and downpipes.

Stable Doors

2350mm high x 1200mm wide treated timber split opening doors, with heavy duty hinges and locks.

Personnel Doors

2100mm high x 900mm wide treated timber door with heavy duty himges and 5 lever lock.

Windows (options 1 & 2)

600mm or 1000mm wide x 1050mm high treated timber top hung opening windows with clear polycarbonate shatterproof panes.

Combination Ventilation Louvre/Window (option 3)

1000mm wide x 1050mm high treated timber with ventilation louvre to bottom and clear polycarbonate shatterproof fixed pane to top.

Tanalised E - Pressure Treated Timber

When purchasing your new timber building, a very important consideration is how the wood has been treated and protected, and if any further treatment is going to be required.

Bridge Stables use Tanalised E Pressure Treated Timber in the construction of outdoor buildings to ensure excellent protection against decay and insect attack.  Tanalised E pressure treated timber has been impregnated with TANALITH E, which provides effective long-term protection, without the need to reapply.
